The Jets protested that the original NFL schedule had its first two home games on Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur. There are only 8 home games in an NFL season (unless the team makes the playoffs), and the Jets were afraid that they'd lose too much revenue from Jewish fans who would not come to the stadium on the High Holidays. The NFL compromised - it moved up one of the first two Jets games to earlier in the day (erev Yom Kippur). The Jimmy Kimmel clip is funny because it pretends that the issue was concern over religious players. Don't you actually have that issue in Israel?
